Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Taras Chyhryn, the independent maker of SwapKeep ("I" / "me"), based in Ukraine, and cover the SwapKeep app and the swapkeep.app website. By downloading or using SwapKeep, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What SwapKeep is

SwapKeep gives you researched, general guidance on when everyday household items typically wear out, and sends gentle reminders to replace or refresh them. It's a helpful nudge — not professional advice. For anything safety-critical (electrical, gas, water, structural, or medical), follow the manufacturer's instructions and consult a qualified professional. Intervals are estimates and won't fit every product or situation.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a binding agreement where you live (or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf). By using SwapKeep you confirm this is true.

Your account

An anonymous account is created automatically; you can optionally add an email to recover it. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. If you share a household, the members you invite can see the shared items.

Your licence to use SwapKeep

I grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use SwapKeep for your own non-commercial home upkeep, subject to these terms.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• copy, resell, rent, or redistribute the app or its catalog;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source or data, except where the law expressly allows;
• access the service through automated means (scraping, bots) or bypass limits, security, or rate-limiting;
• disrupt, overload, or attempt to break the service; or
• use SwapKeep to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

Your content

The items, notes, and home details you add are yours. You grant me the limited rights needed to operate the service — to store your content, sync it across your devices, and show it to the household members you choose. I don't claim ownership of your content and won't sell it.

Please don't use SwapKeep to submit content that's offensive, abusive, or unlawful. If a household member is abusive, the home's owner can remove them in Settings → Home & sharing, or you can reach me at hello@swapkeep.app.

Subscriptions & purchases

• SwapKeep is free to start. Premium is available as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly). Current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store.
• Purchases are billed to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store settings; cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's terms; I generally can't issue them directly. This doesn't affect any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you have under local law.
• If prices change, I'll give notice, and changes won't affect a period you've already paid for.

Feedback

If you send ideas or suggestions, I may use them to improve SwapKeep without any obligation or payment to you.

Intellectual property

The SwapKeep name, app, website, catalog, and content are mine (or my licensors') and protected by intellectual-property laws. Your licence above doesn't transfer any of those rights to you.

Third-party services

SwapKeep relies on third parties (including Apple, Supabase, and RevenueCat) and may link to other sites. I'm not responsible for their content, terms, or practices; your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded SwapKeep from the Apple App Store, you also acknowledge:

• these terms are between you and me, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content;
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or to handle any warranty claims for the app;
• your licence to use the app is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, per the App Store Terms of Service;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you; and
• you confirm you're not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or on a US prohibited-parties list.

Disclaimers

SwapKeep is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. I don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the guidance fits your specific product or situation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, I won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from relying on the guidance. My total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for SwapKeep in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

Your statutory rights (EEA / UK / consumers)

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law, including mandatory warranty, refund, and withdrawal rights, or liability for death, personal injury, or gross negligence.

Ending use

You can stop using SwapKeep and delete your account at any time. I may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) continue after that.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms; I'll change the date above and, for significant changes, give notice in the app. Continuing to use SwapKeep after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your home country.
